Has original artwork or illustration attached.
In species description, Kornicker indicates "USNM 159083, ovigerous female on slide and in alcohol." However, 2 slides were found and no alcohol lot.
This is the USNM number indicated in the type description. However, on the slides with this number, the station differs from that given as the type locality (W-15 on slides, W-13 in paper).
One slide is a well-style wet mount with a coverslip overtop and sealed. Whatever mountant was used does still appear to be somewhat fluid. There als appears to be condensation or mountant residue on the inside on the coverslip. The other slide may have mounatnt loss/drying, with some airbubbles in the seal at the coverlsip edge,.
