This object is part of the Education and Outreach collection, some of which are in the Q?rius science education center and available to see.
Notes:
Cloth doll depicting a woman in a pink sari, made in India. The doll is made of roughly stitched fabric with eyes and mouth sewn in colored thread. She is heavily decorated with plastic earrings, nose ring, necklace, bracelets, and hair ornaments. She wears a gold-fringed pink sari over a black shirt. Her hands and feet each have individually sewn fingers and toes, which are disproportionately large. With the doll is a small cloth bag, red inside and a floral pattern in red, yellow, and green on the outside.
