Description:

Notes:
Small beaded bag, likely made by a Native American group in the Southern Plains region. The bag is constructed from a heavy commercial leather, likely for saddles, which was repurposed to make the bag. It is decorated with multi-colored beads and is worn and missing beads, particularly on the flap, where the stitching is frayed in many places. The back of the bag is undecorated but shows where the machine stitching was removed during fabrication. A section of leather thong has been threaded through the back, just behind the flap but has broken in half.
