This object is part of the Education and Outreach collection, some of which are in the Q?rius science education center and available to see.
Notes:
This specimen is a fossil ark clam. It dates to the Miocene Epoch and was found at the St. Mary's formation in Maryland. The specimen measures 5.5 cm x 4.5 cm.
