Description:
This object is part of the Education and Outreach collection, some of which are in the Q?rius science education center and available to see.
Notes:
Two black and white sherds of Mesa Verde ware. The larger fragment is 7 cm long by 6 cm wide and the smaller is 5 cm long by 3 cm wide. The larger fragment is painted on both surfaces with parallel black lines and bands (though there is more decoration on the interior than exterior) and the rim has two dots of black paint as well. The smaller sherd is painted with parallel and intersecting black bands only on the outside and has a somewhat rough interior.
