Description:
This object is part of the Education and Outreach collection, some of which are in the Q?rius science education center and available to see.
Notes:
These artifacts are five fragments of Woodland pottery sherds, possibly Accokeek. The largest piece measures 6 cm by 6 cm while the smallest is 2 cm by 1.5 cm. The pieces are all tempered with crushed quartz and have cord-marked exteriors. The exteriors are black and dark, muddy brown in color, while the interiors are a sandy rose color.
