Description:
This object is part of the Education and Outreach collection, some of which are in the Q?rius science education center and available to see.
Notes:
Four rim sherds of Potomac Creek ware, possibly from the Late Woodland period. The largest sherd is broken and measured 6 cm long by 3 cm wide all together, and the smallest is 2.5 cm by 4.5 cm in size. The fragments have a sand and crushed quartz temper. One sherd shows plain, fabric-impressed, and cord-marked decorations on the exterior. All three have regular, impressed markings and smooth, blacked interiors.
