Probably a paratype of Cactus maxonii Rose. Apparently described from cultivated plants, a "series of living specimens" collected by Maxon in Guatemala in 1905 and sent to the Smithsonian. The holotype (cited by USNH number, 535059) is probably the only genuine type and other specimens probably represent paratypes.
