Annotated as "Epilobium minutum Lindl., var. glabrum, v.n." Protologue, "[Suksdorf] 2108. Epilobium minutum Lindl. var. glabrum var. nov. (1893) = E. foliosum var. glabrum." Name not validly published. From introduction (in previous volume), "Im Frühjahr 1893 verbreitete ich eine Anzahl gleicher Pflanzensammlungen, welche unter anderen auch solche Pflanzenformen umfassten, die ich für unbeschriebene Arten hielt, weshalb ich sie mit neuen Namen versah…. Der erste Name ist immer derjenige, unter welchem die Pflanze abgegeben wurde; darauf folgt sogleich die Jahreszahl der Abgabe, entweder 1893 oder 1895." Suksdorf is indicating here that the name was distributed with specimens in 1893, but that he now considered the specimen to represent E. foliosum var. glabrum, which is the validly published and typified name.
