Scrub forest on sandstone, 5-15 m canopy; high precipitation and mist. Major taxa: Clusiaceae, Arecaceae, Schefflera, Cyatheaceae, melastome and malpighiaceous trees; understory of bambusoid grasses, ferns, large ground bromeliads, Rubiaceae, Asteraceae shrubs, Cyperaceae.
