Specimen returned from loan to Kerry Barringer (2013) in folder stating "isotype of Cordylanthus orcuttianus A. Gray?" but specimen not annotated as such. Protologue, "Lower California, about 70 miles below the U.S. boundary, H.C. Orcutt and son." [Note that locality on label, [El] Sauzal, is ca. 70 miles south of the US/Mexico border.]
