Collector calls item "necklace/tie". Untied cotton braid with pendant of cotton tassels on either side. Each tassel consists of three strands of aku seeds, two strands of which have greenish parrot feathers attached. Dr. Newton says this was obtained from Hu?hu and made by Hakru a 29 y/o female who said "worn by women only with tassels in front." Called payonkrechi. Cordage: 2z cotton made into square braid cord using single strand. (crochet); tassels. Beads: scleria and parrot feathers. Price paid: beads. Associated specimens: purchased with field number 1968-186 (flute).
Orange-winged Parrot, Amazona amazonica (4 green/red/yellow tail feathers); undetermined Parrot, Amazona sp. (1 green, 1 green/black/blue feather).
