From Card: "Vase - Faience. Glazed stoneware made of a hard grey clay covered with a dark smokey brown glaze mottled with green and dark brown. Form - an elongated ovoid body with a large flaring trumpet shaped mouth and neck. Decorated with two handles composed of two rings linked together and both fastened to the vase; hanging from point of atachment are a cord and tassel in low relief. One handle broken and missing. Collected 1896. "
