From card: "These are used in stirring chocolate."
This type of object is called a molinillo. It's function is similar to a whisk and it is used to froth warm drinks such as hot chocolate, Atole, etc.. The molinillo is rotated between the user's two hands placed palm-sides together. The twisting motion froths the hot chocolate.
