SADDLE RUG (BOTTOM PIECE). WOOL WARP AND WEFT. BORDERED WITH RED COTTON CLOTH AND BACKED WITH BLUE COTTON CLOTH. GEOMETRIC DESIGNS IN RED, BLUE, PINK, YELLOW, GREEN, AND NATURAL. TWO SECTIONS JOINED IN CENTER WITH BLUE COTTON CLOTH. SQUARE-SHAPED HOLE IN EACH SECTION. NOTCHED SHAPE CALLED "PODUNG", ACCORDING TO THE DONOR, OF SOUTH CENTRAL TIBET VILLAGE ORIGIN (CA. 1930-40?). OBTAINED IN KATHMANDU.
