Silver hook from which a pendant is suspended via a chain. Pendant is rectangular piece of openwork spelling "Allah" in Arabic letters. 5 separate balls suspended from rectangle. Both hook and triangle are stamped. Worn by women. Ornamental and talismanic because of use of Allah's name. Purchased by collector from Cairo dealer as an "antique" piece.
