FROM A RELATIVELY SMALL, FLAT BASE THE CONVEX SIDES FLARE OUTWARD TO THE SLIGHTLY EVERTED PLAIN RIM. TAN BODIED POTTERY ENTIRELY COVERED WITH RED SLIP. WIDE BAND BELOW EXTERIOR RIM IS PAINTED IN ALTERNATING PANELS OF BLACK TRAINGLES & A FOUR-LEAFED PATTERN AGAINST A WHITE GROUND. SOME SPALLING & CRACK ON ONE SIDE. FROM AT LEAST 1912 & PROBABLY LATE 19TH CENTURY. REFER: BETTY TOULOUSE, PUEBLO POTTERY OF THE NEW MEXICO INDIANS, 1977, P.24, UPPER FIGURE.
