From card: "Rather coarsely woven thick rug, of three borders around a rectangular central panel, containing three modified diamond designs and other geometric figures. Red ground with patterns in a wide mixture of colors. Said to be a nomad type from Kazak area, about 1880. (Original S.I. No. 943, of which there is no record). Fair to good [condition?]; 1890-1910, Mark Keshishian, 1974"
