From card: "5 heads to each string."
Illus. Fig. 71, p. 65 (under incorrect number 383272) in Black, Lydia. 2003. Aleut art = Unangam aguqaadangin. Virginia Beach, VA: Donning Co. Publishers. Identified there as a "group of 15 old ivory miniature figurines (ca. 1.5 cm long) suggestive of bird heads from Attu. The heavy ornamentation of blackened circle-and-dot design is an Attu attribute. Color of ivory and ornamentation suggest prehistoric dating. The heads are arranged in groups of five on cotton string, probably by collector."
