Appraisal list in accession file and Anthropology Catalogue ledger book call this China. The location on the catalogue card was changed from China to Korea by an unknown person. Per Leonid Lantsman, Korean Art Society, 2012, this is a not Korean, but rather is a 19th century Chinese officer's sword, with a Persian-influenced blade form.
