"RUBU," OR FINELY WOVEN, FLAT, PANDANUS LEAF BAG OR WALLET. THE INTERIOR IS COARSELY WOVEN OF WIDER GAUGE PANDANUS STRIPS AND THE EXTERIOR IS FINELY WOVEN IN BLACK AND NATURAL PANDANUS CHECKERWORK. THE OPENING IS TIED WITH SEVERAL CORDS OF BRAIDED COCONUT FIBER. MARKS> SMALL TAG ATTACHED READS, "3244 FIJEE ISLDS. J.W. SHEAF". EXAMINED BY KENNETH P. EMORY, BISHOP MUSEUM, JUNE 1941.
