From card: "Indians of various tribes long before the coming of the whites, had learned to cut the skins of rabbits into long strips and weave them into blankets by trimed [sic, probably should be twined] weaving just as is done in open twined basketry. Esamples [sic, probably should be examples?]. As far north as British Columbia, and as far south as borders of Mexico."
