QUIVER, A WHOLE DEER SKIN, TURNED WRONG SIDE OUT; BOW, OF YEW, BROAD, FLAT, AND BACKED WITH SINEW, CROSS WRAPPED AT THE GRIP WITH BUCKSKIN, NECKS TURNED BACK AND WRAPPED; ARROWS, WITH SHAFT OF WILLOW, FORESHAFT, OF HARD WOOD AND BONE; FEATHERS, THREE, SET ON RADIALLY; SHAFTMENT, STRIPED IN DIFFERENT COLORS; DELICATE POINTS OF STONE, TRIANGULAR, NOTCHED ON THE SIDES AND FASTENED DOWN WITH SINEW. Provenience note: Fort Tejon was near the Sebastian Indian Reservation, a.k.a. the Tejon Indian Reservation. Some of the cultures associated with the fort, reservation and that area in the 1850's include (but are not limited to) the Chumash, Kitanemuk, Serrano, Tataviam, and Tongva.
