FROM CARD: "ROUND STICKS WITH FEATHERS TIED AT ONE END. THRUST THROUGH THE EARS IN DANCING."
E200089 - E200094 form a set. See p. 180 and Plate 35, after p. 180 in "Anthropological Studies in California" by William Henry Holmes in U.S. National Museum Annual Report for 1900.
Catalogue indicates E200094 should be 2 ear ornaments. As of 2019 there are 3 ear ornaments with this number, all formerly misidentified as part of E200093. Ear ornament # 1 of 3 (the one with the fewest feathers) appears to definitely be E200094, based on the photo illustrated in Plate 35, after p. 180 in "Anthropological Studies in California" by William Henry Holmes in U.S. National Museum Annual Report for 1900. The two other ear ornaments may possibly be incorrectly numbered?
