From card: "A cylindrical basket with close fitting lid. Round wooden ends fitted in top and bottom. Inner basketry woven of wide strips of palm (?) fiber. Covered on outside and top with finely woven strips of light and dark fiber in geometric pattern. Probably one of a nest of several (see items 165,277 abd 165,278). Because of the idea of a graduated set and because of the use of wooden ends, this seems probably to be a type of basket produced under European influence for trade to European travelers. -G.D. Gibson."
