Blue faience winged heart scarab, 3 pcs.
From NMNH Exhibit Hall "Eternal Life in Ancient Egypt" label for this artifact, 2011: Winged heart scarab, c. 400-200 BC. This object was once attached to a mummy's bead shroud. The winged scarab kept the heart from testifying against the deceased.
