Description:
The Army Prescription Balance was a simple and inexpensive brass instrument that fit into and stood on a wooden box. This example belonged to Chevalier Jackson, a noted American endoscopist. The brass label on the box reads “HENRY TROEMNER / MAKER / PHILADELPHIA, PA. / CAP. 2 OZ. NO. 9 / MADE IN THE U.S.A.”
