Description:
Lester H. Knapp (1870-1936) was a dentist in Buffalo, N.Y., who developed, produced, and promoted MYLOCAL for tooth extraction and surgical operations. Advertisements explained that “when you add the cocaine which accompanies it in a separate vial,” Mylocal becomes “a most Perfect Local Anaesthetic.” Knapp introduced the term “MILOCAL” in 1905; but was advertising “Mylocal” by 1907.
