Description (Brief):
White corduroy culottes with black felt cutouts sewn onto the bottom of each leg. Hand made and worn by rodeo star Juanita Howell. While both were individual rodeo performers in the early 1930s, Juanita and Chet Howell began their rodeo career together in 1938 and worked 24 rodeos with their trick riding and roping acts in 1939. They traveled the world together until Juanita retired from the rodeo circuit in 1952 while Chet continued on for a few more years and then retired as well. They were good friends of Bernice and Frank Dean who helped them develop their rodeo skills.
