Spurs that were attached to Don Bell's leather cowboy boots with a brass buckle. The silver section of the spurs has a diamond carved design. The maker of the spurs was top cowboy and rodeo contestant, Hohmer Roark, who became a convict in Cañon City Colorado penitentiary and made the spurs for Bell. Don Bell joined the rodeo circuit at the age of 12 performing in the Clyde Miller Wild West Show, the Bill King Rodeo Co., and Rufus Rollins' Wild West Show. He retired from performing in 1949 but continued to work as a range cowboy and became a writer and historian of the rodeo lifestyle.
