Description:
With this computing scale, the side that faces the customer shows the weight, while that facing the clerk shows the weight and cost. This scale was made after 1934, when the International Business Machine Corporation sold the domestic assets of its Dayton Scale Division to the Hobart Manufacturing Company of Troy, Ohio. The inscription reads "Manufactured by Dayton Scale Division / The Hobart Manufacturing Co. / Troy, Ohio U.S.A. / Serial No. 1199437 Style 100."
