Description:
Samual H. Maslak (b. 1948), Robert Younge, and Amin Hanafy—engineers who worked on computed sonography at the Hewlett Packard Laboratories in California—established Acuson in 1979. The Acuson 128 Computed Sonography System, introduced to market in 1983, was the first ultrasound with a software program running the system.
