Block capped with wooden supports at both ends.USNM/DGA stamp with 9439 in pencil on verso with remnant of guide print. Oval paper label on verso, "No. 7"
Ink inscription on edge of block with 260898
Transfer from Bureau of Education Museum, Dept. of the Interior through Anthropology, NHB. Originally from Japanese exhibition at Centennial Exposition, Philadelphia, 1876.
