Description (Brief):
This image was originally prepared by and printed in the U.S. Civil War era newspaper the "New York Illustrated News" (1859-1864). The image "Brigadier General Philip Kearney, Killed at the Battle Near Centerville" was published in the September 20, 1862 issue of the paper. The image was originally produced as a photograph by E. Anthony.
