Description (Brief):
Marked on lid: "GIBLIN / Patent Pending / RadioEar / Standard Radio and Electric Co. / Pawtucket, R.I." Paper label inside lid includes patent dates: 1/21/08; 11/17/01; 6/15/09; 7/21/14; 9/8/14; 11/24/14; 4/27/15; 1/23/17, and "Licensed for amateur experimental or entertainment purposes only. Any other use will constitute and infringement." Unit is a crystal detector employing a Giblin-Remler type 35 plug-in inductance coil. Crystal detector is encased in a glass covering. Adjustable cat's whisker. Tuning is accomplished with variable condenser equipped with 0-180 degree dial plate. Binding posts on bakelite panel connect to headphones, antenna, and ground.
