Description (Brief):
E. I. Co. spark coil. A .5 kilowatt spark transformer containing two black secondaries wound with enameled wire and a single primary wound with #14 double insulated copper wire. Wooden case. Each secondary weights 2.75 pounds and gives a 1" spark. Four top mounted metal binding posts are provided so that one secondary may be used at a time, or both connected in series or in parallel. This unit does not have a vibrator, and the manufacturer suggests using it with the EI electrolytic interrupter connected to a source of 110 volts alternating current or direct current. Unit is advertised as a 100 mile wireless coil. Original sale price: $6.00. Reference: Electro Importing Company catalog, 1914, page 37.
