Description:
This metal instrument was used for indicating the path of airplanes. It has a metal frame, several interconnected scales, and two bubble levels. The instrument and several parts are in a wooden case. The Italian mathematician and aeronautical engineer Gaetano Arturo Crocco (1877-1968) invented it in the device in 1919.
