Description:
Bronze Victory Medal with a multi-colored ribbon. The obverse has a standing man (representing Liberation) and “WORLD WAR II.” The reverse has “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / 1941 · 1945” and “FREEDOM / FROM FEAR AND WANT / FREEDOM OF SPEECH / AND RELIGION.” This medal belonged to Fletcher Clark Stewart (1899-1979), a physician who spent his career with the United States Public Health Service.
