The inscription at the bottom of this chart reads “THE INFRARED SOLAR SPECTRUM OF A 60° ROCK-SALT PRISM. ENERGY CURVES AND LINE SPECTRUM FROM BOLOGRAPHS OF 1898 / OBSERVATIONS OF S. P. LANGLEY WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF C. G. ABBOT.” The chart comes from the Smithsonian Institution Astrophysical Observatory, Annals, Vol. 1 (1901). This chart expands on Lamansky's Curve of 1871 (which is reproduced in the upper left corner).
