Description:
The phrase "One Man One Vote" was first used in British politcal pamphlets in 1880 and has been used around the world. In the United States in the 1960s it was used to promote political equality. In a 1964 Supreme Court Case, Reynolds -v- Sims stated that "state legislatures needed to have representation based on districts that had roughly equal populations."
