Description:
The St. Louis Browns baseball team began as the Milwaukee Brewers, which moved to Missouri in 1902. This score card comes from the American's Leagues teams second year in St. Louis, where they were managed by Jimmy McAleer, who was prominently featured on the front of that year's programs.
The scorebooks comes from a game against the Philadelphia Athletics. The center pages feature a scorecard filled out in pencil.
The Browns left St. Louis after the 1953 season to become the Baltimore Orioles. The A's left Philadelphia, first moving to Kansas City in 1954, and finally to Oakland in 1968.
