For many African peoples, small figures protect individuals from physical and spiritual harm. The linear incising of the Yanzi figure is typical of their art style.
Description:
Standing female (?) figure with flexed legs, arms at torso sides and projecting conical hairstyle. The face is covered with incised linear patterns and red pigment.
