By halving a bottle gourd, a serving spoon for serving stews and porridges is created. It also makes an individual dipper and cup for large shared vessels of water, or cereal drinks.
Description:
Half of a bottle gourd with a linear pyroengraved decoration and a rectangle with concave sides.

Ellen Patterson Brown, Chevy Chase, Maryland, collected in Chad, 1971-1973 to 1994
