Description:
Wood face mask with bulging forehead, short triangular nose, open mouth with white pointed teeth, pointed chin. From chin hang 3 raffia plaits with openwork cane balls. Netted raffia on top of head is covered in open work cane balls. Wide strips of copper cover face. Interior of mask marked with two largely illegible blue ink stamps - "customs and excise 2 Nov. 1964. Owners paper tag 1244.69; A-245
