Facets of fabulous. There are many paths to looking fabulous. From Morocco to South Africa, Addis Ababa to Dakar, artists from across the African continent have incorporated diverse materials, techniques, and ideas to create stunning works of personal fashion. Within this select display of jewelry from 11 African countries, the anklets, bracelets, rings, necklaces, pendants, and earrings provide a visual journey across the world of Africa’s arts of adornment. This diversity and breadth show the range of creative responses to that most basic of questions—how do I look my best?
