This wood sword hilt is not finished. While the surface has been carved with relief masquettes and incised linear patterns, it has not yet been covered with gold leaf (or modern foil) that will turn it into a proper display object for a ceremonial sword.
Description:
Wood sword hilt composed of two spheres with a cylindrical rod at center, a conical projection at the top, carved geometric and linear designs all over and three carved visages on each sphere.
