Description:
Award received by Norma Sklarek. The Whitey M. Young Jr. award was presented by the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The white paper has an embossed gold AIA logo at the center top. Below this is central black printed text conferring the award to Sklarek, referred to as the “Rosa Parks of Architecture.” The award is signed by the president, Marshall Purnell, and secretary, David Proffitt, of the AIA.
