Description:
A Southwest Asian Service, Liberation and Defense of Kuwait 1991 campaign streamer, owned by General Colin L. Powell. This forked rayon battle streamer represents United States military service operations led by General Powell, then Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, in Kuwait in 1991. The streamer is designed with double-sided horizontal colors featuring a tan background with a black border and black center stripe. On each side of the black center is a dark green stripe. Centered on each side of the dark green stripes are groupings of red, white, and blue stripes. Large white embroidery sewn between each red stripe on the front of the streamer depicts the words “LIBERATION AND DEFENSE OF KUWAIT 1991”. A brass grommet hole for hanging is positioned at the center top end of the streamer. There is no additional text on the reverse of the streamer.
