Description:
A flier for a hip-hop event at T-Connection in the Bronx, New York, on October 10, 1980, designed by Eddie Ed. The flier is printed in black ink on off-white paper and features text in multiple styles of hand-drawn lettering divided into three horizontal sections within a thin single line border. The top section of the flier reads [Nubian and Squigg Productions / present / a disco tribute to The Rap Recording Artists] followed by a list of the scheduled performers: D.J. Love Squigg, Devestating[sic] Force, Malibu, Tricky Tee, Robbie Rock, Bill Blast. It also lists "Invited MC's From Mt. Vernon New York Romez Slice" along with Afrika Bambaataa, DJ Jazzy Jay, DJ Red Alert, Soul Sonic Force and Cosmic Force MC's. In the middle section, the flier lists the numerous performers the event is "paying tribute to:" King Time The 3rd, Blow Fly, Sugar Hill gang, Sequence, Furious Five, Super Rhymes, Funky 4 Plus 1, Kool Kyle, Spoonie Gee, Crash Crew, D.J.
