A flier for the “NY’s Best in Concert” presented by Mix Master Mike and Disco Dave. The flier is in portrait orientation and printed on white paper. It is covered top to bottom in black text of varying sizes and black graphics. The text is framed with thin double lines on the left and right sides and crisscrossing diagonal lines along the bottom edge. Printed in top forth of the flier is the event name, event presenters, date, and admission price: [Mix Master Mike & Disco Dave presents[sic] / “NY’S BEST IN CONCERT” / starring] printed at the center, [FRI. / SEPT. / 12th] in diagonal text on the left, and [Ladies / free to 10 pm] in diagonal text on the right. The middle of the flier is filled with the names of the performing groups and solo artists. The acts billed at the top include [the / CRASH CREW / darryl·c / & the force of the five mc’s] printed in diagonal text on the left, and [the / GRAND WIZARD / theodore / & the fantastic five mc’s] printed in diagonal text on the right. The centered text below reads [THE MARVELOUS 3]. The acts billed below include [kool dj / aj], printed in diagonal text on the left, and [dj smalls], printed in diagonal text on the right. The billed acts, event location, and directions printed down the center include: [busy bee / starski / and / love bug starski / Plus / queens #1 mr. sweety·g / also / THE TREACHEROUS 3 MC’S / & rayvon & johnny wah / AT THE AUDUBON BALLROOM / 166 st. broadway 1’ or A’ TRAIN TO 168 st]. Additional event information and dress code is printed in the bottom fourth of the flier: [9pm / until] at the center, [dress casual / metal detector] on the left, and [ladies $3 Gents $4 / b/4 11pm] on the right. In the bottom right corner is reproduced, small, handwritten text that reads [HAPPY GRE[---?]], and there is also cut off, reproduced, handwritten text in the bottom left corner that reads [[---?]wa]. Graphics of twelve, five-pointed stars are scattered throughout the flier text to emphasize event information and divide act names. Two diagonally oriented arrows bookend the event location, [AUDUBON BALLROOM]. The back of the flier is plain and white.
